my box is in a cabinet on top of the dvd player with a glass door. i got a little notice today after my satellite went out (it was raining) that said my box was overheating. i think it was 314 degrees. i’m assuming this is due to the fact that it’s in a closed area, but there are holes in the back of the cabinet where all the wires and such go through. but the cabinet is up against the wall so whatever.
anyway, my question is: is there any way to fix this overheating problem? i mean like, should i leave the cabinet door open for a few hours every day? should i turn it off at night or when no one is at home to watch tv? will my box really catch fire and set my house aloft if i ignore this problem and just keep leaving it on for basically the whole day every day? how serious of a situation is it?
yeah a lot of questions but i appreciate your response :]
